Luke has considerable experience in commercial and corporate law, business group restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, banking and finance and commercial property and leasing.

He has worked previously for Buddle Findlay in Wellington in the areas of commercial law, banking and intellectual property. He delivers efficient, adaptable and integrated legal solutions for his like-minded clients, drawing on his range of legal skills to achieve his clients desired outcomes.

  • Experience in corporate and commercial law, securities law, banking and finance, intellectual property law and primary industry issues.

    Advising on corporate restructures, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions including complex and interconnected finance and property matters.

    Advising financial institutions and businesses on financial and security issues, and advising on the implementation of complex funding arrangements for lenders, borrowers underwriters and other stakeholders.

    High level of experience in a broad range of commercial property, leasing, construction and property development matters.

    Advising a wide range of New Zealand companies, businesses and farming ventures including in respect of governance, structure and merger acquisitions.

    Advising on intellectual property and technology matters such as software development, licensing and user arrangements.

  • Acquisition of large scale industrial sites across multiple locations throughout New Zealand from multinational entities and the lease back by way of triple net leases.

    Complex funding arrangements from major agricultural operations and

    developments, such as dairy, hops & cattle, including by way of syndicated finance and equity investment.

    Advising both landlords and tenants on seismic issues and drafting leasing solutions to these issues.

    Implementing and enforcing securities from financing companies and other business.

    Acquisition of the business and assets of prominent business from receivership, and navigating the surrounding issues for the purchaser.
